Surprise Surprise!!

So here comes our first roller coaster from baby.....
I went in today at lunch to my OB b/c I a small issue (TMI).....
and we also did an ultrasound.....
WELL
GUESS WHAT?????
The little stinker is a GIRL!!!
There was no doubt she was missing one big part of the anatomy
LOL NO JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
My head is spinning and I bet the girls heads are too!
Most people have asked me what Joe said,
I had to call him on the phone b/c he's at work.....
He just laughed and said, "It figures!" hahaha
My poor man! But he will have another little daddy's
girl...I just know it!

Pregnancy - Day 133

Today I'm 133 days pregnant (19 weeks)

So not much has changed in a week. I am having a lot of
Round ligament pain . It's mainly when I get out of bed
or up from my chair at work. And guess what came back.....
nausea. UGH
I can hardly eat anything w/out getting sick.
It's getting silly. Usually if I take my prescription while
I'm eating I'm ok. So that's what I've been sticking to.
Here is how the baby's growing this week:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding!
It's brain is designating specialized areas for
smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research
suggests that he/she may be able to hear your voice now,
so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking
to him/her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches,
head to bottom. His/her arms and legs are in the right
proportions to each other and the rest of her body now.
The kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on the scalp
is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa
is forming on his/her skin to prevent it from pickling in the
amniotic fluid.

85-95% sure it's a........

BOY!

Yesterday we went up to Castleton to do a "fun" ultrasound.
I took the girls and my momma with me and we had a
little girls day out :)

So the technician thought boy the entire time....
but b/c of the way baby is sitting, she didn't want
to say 100%, but she is 85-95% sure it's a boy!
So I'm not painting any walls yet....but we are very
excited!
Here's a few pics...you can judge for yourself
they aren't very clear....so I hope that
when I go for my next OB ultrasound they
can confirm :)

Pregnancy - Day 126

Today I'm 126 days (18 weeks) pregnant!
Time seems to be still going pretty quick! I know it's
about to slow down as I get towards the end of this pregnancy.
My nausea is slowing down..PTL! I still get nauseous quite often,
but there are more often times I'm not now which is wonderful :)
Of course I am still feeling a lot of stretching inside and out.....
which is great b/c baby is growing!!!
Surprisingly I do not have an increase in my apetite yet.
I am still -1lb from the start (yucky nausea). But I imagine
this is going to change soon when this nausea goes bye-bye!
I don't crave sweets which many people have told me this
means we're having a boy LOL I think it's hilarious :)
I do crave anything HOT or SPICY! YUM!!
I do watch my caffeine intake b/c of my SVT. So it's
mostly water for me to drink...which isn't a bad thing.
My blood pressure is still staying pretty normal too!
I just ordered a belly band online b/c I already feel like I can't
hold my belly up LOL This is sad I know...but I'm going to try
it out and see how I like it!
Next Tuesday I'm going up to Indy to do a "FUN" ultraound with
the girls. They are really excited to see the baby and I think it
will be a great day for us to spend up there!
Here are a few little fun facts about week 18 of a pregnancy:
~We have two more ounces! Your "getting bigger-n-better by
the minute baby" is already up to 7 ounces and 6 inches!
~During pregnancy week 18 your baby is busy building a strong
heart and strong muscles. An ultrasound after 18 weeks pregnant
can usually help detect any structural problems that may exist in
the heart or surrounding organs. Some babies do have congenital
heart defects, though most will be born with no problems at all.
Fortunately if an ultrasound does detect that something is awry
you can take steps to prepare ahead of time to support your
newborn baby after birth.
By 18 weeks pregnant your baby is producing Myelin,
a protective covering that supports the nerves in your baby's
body. Your baby will continue to produce Myelin through the
ninth month. By now your babies genitals are also formed
and can be distinguished using an ultrasound.
Most women will have to wait until roughly their 20th week
of pregnancy however to find out if they are having a boy
or a girl (and that is if the baby is cooperating).

It's a..................

BABY!!!!
LOL The little stinker had its legs crossed this time haha!
That's just our luck :) But great news is baby looks wonderful!
That's all we truly want is a nice healthy baby!
Nice heart beat of around 140 something.
My BP is still doing good, I think this time it was 135/87. I am still -1lb
from my first appt, so its not too bad. I think with Alli Jo by this time
I'd gained 20lbs haha
So four more weeks and I'll go back in for a more detailed ultrasound/appt.
Maybe peanut will be ready to show us who he/she is :)

Here's a sneak peak at the little rebel now

Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four

I recently came upon a blog from a local pastor called from the greener side .
I am one who always has believed things happen for a reason.....
If I'm late b/c of traffic, God was protecting me from something....
if I clicked on a blog that I've never read before,
God wanted me to read what was on there! My friend Lauren
is quite fond of this fellow....and he sounds wonderful!
So I read this POST . WOW, it really touched me! That's a lot of
people that don't attend church! What's scary is that my family
includes 4 of them :( We haven't been to church in a few months.
There are several "excuses" or reasons we could blame for why....
but I don't think anyone really wants to hear them.
We attended a few local churches and had a great time!
There really wasn't anything wrong with the
churches we attended, infact I plan to go back!
It's just the scary parts of finding a "new" church.
Will we fit in?
Will people wonder why we're here?
Will I mess up and do something wrong?
Will the kids like it?
All these things run through my head. But what I need to just
realize is that I'm not there for the people, I'm there for Him!
That's much easier said than done, trust me!
Here's PART 2 from the
"Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four" post.
We all need to step out of our comfort zone and
share the love of Jesus Christ.
Like Seth says,
"If we are going to reach the 4734 in our community,
we are going to have to make the investments in them.
We are going to have to hang out with people we would
never hang out with before. We are going to have to go above
and beyond. We are going to have to love “Betty” as if she
were our daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Because we know that
the only way for Betty to truly break cycle that she is in,
is Jesus Christ."

It doesn't get cuter than this: Sweet Essence Photography

One thing I love about photography is seeing families interact.
Although I know that each family is different in their own
way, it's great to capture it on my camera!
I went to school with Jayme and we played basketball
together. She is one of the sweetest ladies around!
I loved meeting her awesome little ones and her husband Josh!
They are such a good looking family,
and it doesn't get cuter than this!! Check out their little
sneak peek!

How big is baby now.....

Something that always runs through my mind is how big the baby is now.....

I did some research online and this is what I found:

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one
can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in,
and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might
be able to determine gender.

Baby is the size of an avocado
Although my avocado feels much bigger haha! I must have a record winning one!
In other news.....
We decided to get Alli Jo's hair cut. It was really needing a change and even it up.
I was so nervous b/c the longest part of her hair was half-way down her back!
But I knew we had to do it to keep it growing even and looking healthier!
Now she looks even more grown up :( LOL
BEFORE:

AFTER

Goofing off at Amber Jo's

So happy!!

Don't you just love it! So grown up!

Pregnancy - Day 112

Today I am 16 weeks pregnant!! Woo hoo...four months!
These first few months have gone by so fast! I think it's mostly b/c it's
the summer and summer always goes so quick
(except when you're 8 mos preggo haha)!
Many things are different in my 3rd pregnancy....
I look like I'm 6 mos preggo or bigger LOL
I am already doing the waddle
I've felt stretching a lot sooner
Still have a lot of nausea (morning sickness)
Lots of sinus trouble (common for preggos)
Haven't gained any weight yet (but I am eating so don't worry)
Next Friday is my next OB appt. I can't wait...
I always love hearing peanuts heartbeat!!! I'm hoping Joe
can come with me this appointment b/c it will be his last time
he can come to an appointment...due to transfering Bender locations :(
Maybe doc will let us do an ultrasound to see gender.....
one can always hope!

Our session with Kathy McCloy

Last year I discovered an amazing photographer Kathy McCloy that is from Terre Haute. She often makes trips back to Indiana and I just so happened to catch her last year to take pictures of my girls. She blew me away then, and once again has amazed me this year!!
Saturday we drove to Sullivan to get some shots of the girls and just a couple of me and my baby bump with the girls. Here's a little sneak peek Kathy posted on FB....if you want to see more email me and I will give you the password to our online gallery!

Steiner Sneak Peek: Sweet Essence Photography

It's so nice every now and then to take a break from chasing
around toddlers :) Don't get me wrong, little ones are some of
my favorite subjects to shoot b/c they're so unpredictable!
But it's much easier to have kids who will do exactly what you
say (for the most part) haha!
This family was so cute! The kids were adorable,
I know that they probably are the age where they don't want
to hear that...but they were!!!
I had to tease Miss Emma b/c she is a Cubs fan,
and we all know that I'm a big Cardinals fan.....
the poor girl didn't have anyone to defend her
b/c dad and bro are Reds fans LOL
Here's a little sneak peek:
